Hey everybody! I’m so excited that Ursula asked me to be a part of her birthday bash month. I can’t believe I’m here doing this blog with such great authors! I’m giddy with excitement! To celebrate this month of love, birthdays and kick ass authors I’m going to show a little love to some of my favorite authors and books. I was going to limit this to a top 10 list but it can not be done. There are way too many authors, books and characters that I have fell in love with so I’m going to try to fit as many in as I can.
In my early 20’s I found I loved sifting though the book shelves and take hours doing it and not even realize it. Oddly enough mostly it was self help books. Then I started having kids and stopped going to the book store and reading then a few years ago I started reading again with a vengeance and this all started with I’m not ashamed to say the Twilight Books. After I read and reread those about 6 times it was time to branch out. I had seen a few seasons of True Blood and of course I love Eric so I devoured the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. Still in my vampire phase, I mentioned to my husband I needed a new vampire to read about and being the awesome guy he is he did a search and found me the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. I stumbled on to Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series. Cat and Bones are my FAVORITE vampires and I will also mention that she has the BEST short story I have ever read, Night’s Darkest Embrace, it is fucking fantastic!
I was all Paranormaled out at this point and found Maya Banks and Shayla Black. One of the best books I have read has to be Seducing Simon by Maya Banks I fell hard for this book it will always be one of my favs, of course , I have read just about everything she has written and love her KGI series too. Shayla Black sucked me in with witches and wizards in her Doomsday Brethren series. Her Wicked Lovers series is great too. Deke will always be one of my favorite male characters. Lorelei James MUST have a mention here because I LOVE LOVE the McKays! This is her Rough Riders series and if you have not read it go check it out you will love it.
Sophie Oak was next and caught my attention with her Texas Siren series and her Nights in Bliss, Colorado series. No one can inject humor into a story like Sophie can and this is a big reason why I love her books. She is just an amazingly talented writer with an awesome sense of humor, but can still tell one hell of a love story. Now a female character who will always have a special place in my book loving heart is Grace from Heather Rainier’s Divine Texas series. I met Heather last year and she is sweet and lovely and this shines through in her writing and you can feel it when you read her stuff. In my mind Heather put a lot of herself in Grace and I adore them both.
Some great books and authors I have read recently that stick out are next. On the very tip top of this list is Kristen Ashley. A good book friend of mine has recently got me and Ursula hooked! We are slowly working are way through her entire book collection! I love them all you can’t go wrong with any of her books. Probably my Favorite book of the year was Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. Trust me on this you can NOT go wrong with Travis Maddox. One of the best co-authored book series I have read are the Compass Brother series by Mari Carr and Jayne Rylon. These ladies know how to write a book that reads like it’s from one author. The last book I’m going to share people either seem to love or hate and I fuckin loved it so reel it in babe and go check out Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan you will not be disappointed. Totally different then anything else out their and I haven’t found a MC book out there yet that can touch it. No one will ever come close to the emotional rawness of Deuce and Eva. LOVE THEM!

This is just a small sampling of the books and authors I love. So to honor the author you love I’m giving away a $10.00 Amazon gift card. All you have to do is leave a comment with your email and tell us some of your favorite’s. Happy reading!

  8. Thank you so much, Ursula and Amy! I appreciate the mention very much and hope to see the two of you again sometime this year. I giggled when I saw your mention about Grace and I having a few things in common. I have NO idea why you think that, none at all! Love you both and thanks again for including me in your favorites list. <3

  9. You've definitely named some of my favorite series. I absolutely love Heather Rainier's Divine Creek Ranch series, especially Divine Grace. I've read Grace's story at least 6 times. I also love Sophie Oak's Night's in Bliss, Co. It's a fantastic series. Then of course Lorelei James. The Rough Riders series were the first books of erotic romance I ever read. I love the McKays! After reading that first book with Channing & Colby, I was hooked! Hundreds of books later I still love to reread the Rough Rider books.
