Guest Review: Their Unexpected Mate

[Ménage Amour: Erotic Paranormal Ménage a Quatre Romance, M/F/M/M, shape-shifters, HEA]
After the devastating loss of her father, Katherine Douglas picks up her entire life and moves to the wilds of Montana. She sets about making a home only to find the unexpected—three larger-than-life men that send her perfectly planned future into a dizzying tailspin.
In the middle of a sting, Treasach “Scythe” Campbell, Quinlan “Mac” McAllister, and Sullivan “Sully” McAllister, Alpha Team for the Paranormal Protection Unit, were more worried about getting out in one piece than what the future might hold. But then in she walked—their mate. Like a punch to the gut, instincts older than time kick in, and the three men know nothing but the driving need to be with her.
They're not human, not by a long shot, but they will love her with a fierceness no other could. Will she run from what they are and what they are asking her for, or can they convince her to heed the primal call from within?
Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings.
A Siren Erotic Romance

I have once again been recruited to help tell you of wonderful books!!! Ursula sent me to the world of Were’s and the Fae and I have come to tell you all about it. It’s been awhile since I read anything paranormal and I missed it. Let’s get rolling with my review of Their Unexpected Mate from the Paranormal Protection Unit by Honor James.
This is a book about a team of ex-military guys (Were’s) who are now working in the private sector with their old team members. Trey, Sully and Mac are all part of were royalty and are looking for their bond-mate. They have to look no further when the new girl in town (human) comes waltzing into the bar they are staking out. Katherine has no idea these men are her destiny, but they have a great time showing her. Throw in the Dragon mafia, a lost heritage and a snake stepbrother and we got ourselves a good book.
Trey is a wolf and the first to make contact with Katherine and knows right away that she is their bond-mate. He’s a big scary guy, but he’s all softy on the inside. Sully and Mac are twins and bears. Sully is the “tell it like it is” type and can’t wait to get his hands on Katherine. Mac seems to be the more level headed of the two and is very protective of his bond-mate. Katherine herself is a very no nonsense kind of girl who is a little up tight. This makes her a very funny character.
I really liked this book it was a great beginning to the series. It was laced with humor, which I like in a book. There is a great cast of secondary characters that I hope I get to see in future books. I would say the only thing I didn’t like about the book was that at times it seemed rushed. Definitely worth a read! 4 stars
